The incomparable Patti LaBelle recently sat down for an interview where she both praised and passed the musical torch to soul singer Ledisi! If you haven’t checked out Ledisi’s music you are really missing a treat. My favorite song from her 2009 album “Turn Me Loose” has to be “Goin' Thru Changes”. Her voice just melts over the melody like fresh honey from the honeycomb.
Most people think Ledisi is a new artist, but she’s actually been making records since 2000. Her latest single “Pieces of Me” from her the album of the same name, is making moves in the industry.
