Mama always said, if you ain’t got nothing to say, then don’t say it! So what I will say is, I love Monica, she was the first concert I went to see back when I was about 16, I love her music, love her attitude, love her ability to be a good mother to her two children. I also think Shannon Brown is a stand up dude and a great basketball player. For your viewing pleasure, take a look at a picture from the couples second wedding\renewal of vows. They got legally married last November, after meeting and shooting Monica’s “Love All Over Me” video where their “characters” also got married. …so rumor has it that Nicki Minaj’s on-again, off-again boyfriend S.B. chunked her in the throat the other day at a Dallas hotel, and what was my girl’s response via Twitter?
To a certain degree I believe her AND the rumor mill! I think she and S.B. really did get into, but she probably provoked him! I am not at all implying that she deserved it or that he had the right to do it. …so I’m sure you all have heard the reports that two of Lil Wayne’s dancers got into a fight with a waitress recently, because she refused to split their bill as requested. First of all, is it wrong that I think this is funny? I mean who does that? Who beats down their waitress because she didn’t want to split the bill?
Trust me, I’ve had bad service in my day, but I’ve never thought I’d go so far as to want to beat some one down over it, let alone actually doing it. So these dancers were eating at P.F. Chang’s and when the waitress brought the bill, they asked for her to split it, in turn she said they needed to tell her that before she brought the bill and this started the fight incident. Now I’ve been told this before at a restaurant and I just don’t understand it, how can you NOT split a bill that hasn’t been paid for yet? I mean it would be different if they were like, “Okay, I want to be 60% minus the drink and she pays the rest”, but why is that such a hard request? I have been totally P.O.’d by this type of response before and I refused to pay, and guess what, I got my bill split.
Sometimes I think that waiters and waitresses take their jobs too seriously, like they just feel like they own the restaurant and don’t feel obligated to please the customer, when they should! My motto, “no service, no tip”! SIDE NOTE: It would be advisable to keep your attitude and comments in check, lest you open yourself up for the possibility for your food or drinking have some “extra” ingredients in them.

Rumor has it that actress Paula Patton, has been offered a role in the remake of “Sparkle”. Honestly, why do we need to see yet another “Diana Ross & the Supremes” – inspired production remade yet again? After the Oscar-winning performance of Jennifer Hudson in “Dreamgirls”, all other similar projects need to cease and desist. The original was a classic and made Irene Cara and Philip Michael Thomas household names and helped bridge them out of the Black cinema genre to mainstream productions. Remaking making it now is basically redundant and really can’t offer much, unless it will showcase a modern format. But the question I want you all to answer is -- do you really see Paula Patton playing “Sparkle”?
Perhaps she is being considered for another role like “Sister” originally played by Lonette McKee, who was the brash older sibling of the title character. …I guess! They really need to leave well enough alone… I love Paula, but as beautiful as she is, she is too old to be playing teenagers! I’m just saying! *side eye*
Another movie that has been in the works for the last couple of years is Clint Eastwood’s remake of “A Star is Born” starring Beyoncé. Again, I love her, but this movie will just end up being ghetto with her in it. I mean really Bey-to-the-yonce as the infamous Esther? I’m sorry, but she doesn’t have the class to follow Judy Garland and Barbara Streisand! I mean really people! Even Kanye wouldn’t protest me saying that! That’s the worst idea since making “Howard the Duck” into a movie! Now that’s a blast from the past! Shame on you Lea Thompson! And I am not even going to say anything about that hair, it was the 80’s after all! And I have Hammer pants with suspenders pictures to prove it, so I can’t talk too badly about cha!
