Oh Latoya, When Will You Just Let it Go?

I am so tired of the Jackson family leech, Latoya, capitalizing over her brother’s death.  I do honestly believe she loved her brother, but she is harboring on this way too  much and it is make me nauseous.  Yes, he had individuals around him that didn’t have his best interests, which lead to his untimely death, but what did you do? Or rather what did you NOT do?! 

This is NOT an attack on Latoya, but quit showing up on every daytime talk show, writing books & putting out music recordings in memoriam, doing news special interviews and the like talking about the same old sad story.  Let Michael rest in peace, so that everyone involved (Katherine, his kids, his other siblings and HIS FANS) can try to move on and stop having to relive this horrible incident everyday for the last year!  I just… I can’t! *storms out the room*

“Best Thing I Never Had”– Video Review

Yesterday, Beyoncé released her video for her next single “Best Thing I Never Had”.   …so where do I start? *prepares himself for the attack of the Beyoncé stans*. 

First of all, what is up with Beyoncé and her constant nakedness?  Funny because the infamous line she retorts to her ex in the song says, “you showed your BLANK”, but here she did! 

How many videos are you going to walk around in your underwear (“Irreplaceable” “Why Don’t You Love Me?” )?  …really Bey?  This is the 3rd time and it is NOT a charm, we’ve seen this already – it’s time for something new or in your case something borrowed, maybe even something blue. Catch the wedding satire?

So the video chronicles Beyoncé preparing for her wedding day and as she gets dressed and frolics around halfway naked for the first half of the video she has flashbacks to the guy she dumped, because he evidently he was “the best thing I never had”.  I actually thought the flashback to her “prom” was very funny and I liked the dark hair on her, she should really try this look for real!

I am a fan, but I also have to keep it real I am just not feeling this new Beyoncé album, ever since “B’day”, she started to flake off.  “I am… Sasha Fierce” was passable but “4” just doesn’t suit my fancy yet.  There are some good tracks, I do like “Party (feat. Andre3000)” & “End of Time”, but so far, those are my favorite tracks. 

I guess I just want my old Bey back, but maybe she has evolved into someone else.  I guess that’s what CDs and digital media are for – recalling the good ole days when artists really connected to their music. *turns on iPod and listens to “Green light” from B’day* Go! *pause* Go! *pause* Go! *pause* Go, oh, oh, oh!

I Love Kelly Rowland, so Much I Can Say This!

…I have been a fan and supporter of Kelly Rowland since Destiny’s Child first came out in 90’s, she always has and always will be my favorite member of the group.  She is also one of my favorite solo singers as well.  I even had a fan site dedicated to her called “All Eyes on Kelly Rowland” way back in the Yahoo! Geocities days, so you know that’s been a long time ago!  I preface this post with this information so I can make this statement – *clears throat*…

“…I love Kelly Rowland, so much I can say this – STOP WEARING WITH THOSE HORRID WIGS!”

Kels… really? Ma, you make way too much money, look way too fly, too naturally beautiful to be walking around looking like a drag queen.  Everything else is on point, the fashion, the shoes, the makeup, but those wigs – those horrid, horrid wigs! Please stop! 

The sad thing in the picture above is one of the “better” wig choices lately, but there is absolutely no reason why a multi-millionaire who is one of the most popular celebrities in the world should be walking around with hard synthetic costume warehouse wigs!  And I say this because I love you, but you know you can do better than this!   …if you need some help, I know some people, have YOUR people call, MY people!  Again, I love you, but stop the madness and let those horrible things go!

Just stumbled across a new song from one of my favorite singers and one of the most underrated vocalists who should have more shine than what’s accredited to her, but that’s another rant & rambling… Michelle Williams is releasing new music in 2011. Check out this catchy track entitled “Love Gun” from her yet-to-be-titled new album. She says her new sound will be “inspirational pop”, something similar to “Firework” by Katy Perry or “Unwritten” by Natasha Bedingfield. No wonder I like this song so much! “In-N-Out” …I tried, but I can’t! …I can’t!

After the “In-N-Out” chain decided to come to Texas, it seemed like everyone was overly eager to taste a bit of the Sunshine State in the Lone Star State.  And I had to admit, as much as it was hyped up to be, I too was like, “will it ever get here”?!  Well, after waiting over a year and deciding if I would stand with the masses in the grand opening lines, I submitted to the propaganda – I gave into “the  man”. 

And let me tell you, I was bitterly disappointed.  I mean, first of all, it’s just a burger.  No frills, no special add ons, just a steam-grilled burger with “secret special sauce” that basically isn’t so special or secret and some minced grilled onions.  It wasn’t necessary bad nor necessarily good.  It was just kinda blah, bland, mediocre even!  And I don’t think it was the let down of the excitement of eating an official “In-N-Out” burger and it didn’t “Wow” me, but it just didn’t taste like much. 

I guess I am used to that down home good ole’ well-seasoned Texan food… call me crazy, but if I had to choose, my choice from “In-N-Out” would be "OUT”, marked “return to sender”!

..but hey, I did get a nifty paper hat out of the bargain, but it did tear after the first use, but the complimentary stickers were nice!
