“My Chick Bad” freestyle…

jai2008_03

Now all of sudden you wanna try and be my bestie,
have you missing shots like you was hitting with ya leftie,
so don't come lookin' fo me, push back bout 50,
I'll have you runnin' half court, laying up like a rookie...

It aint going down, cuz I chased it,
eyes running red, like the law - I maced it.

And it aint over, till like Alicia said "I'm Ready",
Rockin this boat like Aaliyah, be steady.
See you ain't know I'm from da streets,
throwing back like Kells, "you remind me of my Jeep".  (vvvrrroooommm)

Yet you still lookin' for me,
I be like wham, bam, no thank you ma'am, you ain't clownin' me...

Welcome to my never-ending Blog’o’sphere…

150618Today’s subject - “How do you make a quick buck in this town? …legally!”.  I’ve been thinking about doing odd jobs to make up for the slack of incoming paychecks.  Then, I had an even brighter idea; why not use my technical skills to their full advantage and do a home-based desktop PC troubleshooting business.

I have the “know how” and the salesmanship to do so, so why not give it a whirl?  Does anyone else out there have any bright ideas?  …speak now or forever hold my blog’o’sphere peace!

¡Ay, caramba!

Something’s Gotta Give – A “Revelation”…

boots

Friends, Romans, Countrymen, lend me your hear…  I have an important message and recent revelation to share.  There is an old saying that says “when life throws you lemons, just make lemonade”.  So that is what I am doing.  I am recently unemployed due to an internal conflict of interest and now that I have more free time that ever, I had a revelation that really made me stop and think about what is most important in life.

I was treated poorly by my former employer, Management and Human Resources over a situation I had no control over.  In the end, they decided the issue was a conflict of interest and forced me to resign or be terminated.  In the end I chose to be terminated because resigning really makes the employer seem innocent and on “the real”, a brotha needs to draw his unemployment insurance, okay?

All in all, what this lesson has taught me is that your true friends and family will rally around you in your time of need.  It’s amazing to me to see people’s true colors and intentions after the fact, because some have turned against me and sought to take what I worked so hard to achieve, while others were useless, undependable and did nothing.  So, what was my revelation? …through it all, you are only as strong as your weakest enemy, so I have cast all negativity aside and I am looking forward to a bright new future.  Stress and negative remarks do not bring resolution or contentment, they only breed and fester bitterness, hatred and contempt.

Therefore, I implore all of you, whether in good times or bad, to remember to live the best life possible.  And when life throws you unexpected hurdles, just make the necessary adjustments in your race.  This is YOUR life, if you refuse to RUN it, you will only be left standing in the stagnant melancholy of a “no win” situation, but YOU CAN CHOOSE TO LACE UP YOUR TRACK SHOES, FIND YOUR LANE AND RACE TOWARDS THE FINISH LINE.

Can you feel my “Pulse”? Yes, Toni we can!

toniblog01

Finally, the sultry and ever talented Toni Braxton is back on the music scene.  This time around she is switching it up by providing her fans with a much needed up-tempo hit entitled, “Make My Heart”.  For most fans this is probably the most they’ve ever seen her move and do choreography other than her hit Las Vegas revue she headlined.

toniblog03Eat your heart out, because 42 years old never looked so good!  As usual, Ms. Braxton is still stunning the masses with her chiseled petite frame and flawless beauty.  Personally. as I fan I have been waiting for the Pulse LP for almost 2 years when she first started working on tracks like “Heart Never Had a Hero” and the buzz single “Get Loose”.  So be sure to mark May 4, 2010 for the official release of Toni Braxton’s latest album “Pulse” in stores and online!

Dude… I got a Dell!

After much decision making, bargain hunting and all around indecisiveness – I have finally purchased my new laptop.  I am actually using it right now to make this blog.  Learning and exploring the new features in Windows 7 has really been exciting and less challenging than I expected!  And now with Windows Live Writer, it is all the more easier for me to make posts and uploads.

The new Dell laptops are excellent and have drastically improved in design and functionality.  As a matter of fact, I was so impressed with them I even got a matching netbook, so that I will always be mobile and ready any new adventure or escapade I can get myself into. …so yeah, “Dude, I got a Dell!” and I couldn’t be happier with my selection!

Usher's 2010 All Star Performace

Dear Usher... I am a long time fan and supporter, but I am writing you this letter to express my concerns. #1 - Your performance... yes sir, you still got it. #2. Live vocals - a little hoarse, but still did very well overall. #3 - Your outfit - achem... excuse me let me take a moment... ok, so remember that part I said about being a fan and supporter, I meant that... I do... achem... *ackward pause* ...brother what was you thinking? Grown men do not wear capris, let alone LEATHER CAPRIS! And to top it off a Spartacus vest?!?!
No sir, we will have none of this Tom Foolery... I mean I know you and Tameka didn't work out, but at least she had you looking right! For the sake of the kids ya'll still get a long, sooo can she start styling you again... seriously! ...after I see improvements in these areas, I will return your "swagger card"... until then, DO NOT leave the house unless your clothing has been confirmed and cleared from clearance by some knowledgeable person...
In conclusion, let me remind you, yes sir, I am STILL a fan and supporter, so do not view this as some random internet hate, no sir I am not an "e-baller"... but I am concerned citizen who must address this important issue. Thank you for your time and attention... and remember, "fashion is not a privelege, it's a right"! Therefore,
do the right thang"!

James Cameron's "Avatar"

It's the movie everyone is talking about - James Cameron's "Avatar"! At first I was a little intimidated to see this movie because just based on the previews the imagery and realism was overwhelming. To be honest with you, I don't like movies about aliens and creatures, but there was something about this movie that made me want to see it nonetheless, and I'm glad I did. It features the voice of one of my favorite actresses, C.C.H. Pounder, she plays the high priestess of her alien civiliation and she really plays up the power in her voice using their distinct native tongue. Also impressive was the performance of Sam Worthington, who most of will know as the good Terminator cyborg in the last Terminator movie. I encourage you all to see this movie and if at all possible, please do so in 3D and where available IMAX 3D. It gives you a whole new level of viewing pleasure, and it is well worth the 3 hour viewing experience!
